Wiki Space Homework and updates will be posted on the wiki space. Go to __olgc.org,__ click on school, classroom pages, kindergarten, then my name. All information, homework, classroom happenings can be found on this page
Scholastic We will be participating in Scholastic Book club. All orders can be placed online. Do not send orders or checks to school. Once the order deadline comes, we will confirm the order, close it, and the books will be sent to school for distribution. Our class code is P8QTL. Please be sure to enter our code so we can earn points for books to add to our classroom library.
Homework We do have homework Monday thru Thursday in Kindergarten, which means it is returned Friday Morning. Homework will vary. Usually it will be one page of phonics or handwriting, one page of math and sight word study. Homework should take no more than 20 minutes a night. If your child is struggling completing it please contact me. Homework assignments are checked for completeness and accuracy. You can find all homework assignments on the wiki pages.
Birthdays We welcome Birthday celebrations in Kindergarten. I am asking you to PLEASE refrain from purchasing cupcakes for our class. Mini cupcakes, pretzel nuggets, cookies, ice cream cups are all fine. Ideally, I would prefer a healthy snack. Please be sure to clear the date with me or Mrs. Kulp. You are welcome to come in at snack time to celebrate with the class and bring a special story from home to read to the class as well. Your child will be given our class mascot for the week and the journal that comes with him. Each child will have the opportunity to draw and write in the journal.
Volunteers --All volunteers must complete the criminal and child abuse background checks. Even if you only come to one event. __ChildYouthProtection.org__ is the link. Contact Mary Riccaboni with any questions.
